Why. How. What.

When we headed west to visit my grandmother each of us was allowed to pack a small case of personal treasures. I placed my talismans oh so carefully so that everything fit and nothing would rattle around. I was proud of my work.

Years later my insight into size and order led me to an advanced degree in Measure Theory. Still later I sought to hand to my own students that sense of pride at being able to shape and order the steps to fit solutions to problems.

This blog is about measuring and ordering things tangible or intangible; light or heavy; mathematical or not. And about the sweet feeling when things fall into place.
